That’s Where I Want to Go to College When I Grow Up

Oppenheim Architects is a building design company which has proposed a bold project for their home town. They want to build a superstructure in downtown Miami, at the corner of NE 5th Street and Biscayne Boulevard to be more precise. This giant building will be the home of the Miami Dade College.

The immensity will include first of all educational facilities, but also offices, apartments and last but not least, there will be plenty of room for art exhibitions. The designers are confident that this is exactly what Miami needs right now to solve some of the urban density problems in the area.

The project is estimated to be completed by the end of 2012 but with the world crisis going on we’ll have to admit that it is quite an optimistic deadline they are offering. Personally I like the overall sweet look of the concept and I’d like to see it happen but only time will tell.
