With the most popular Bluetooth 2.0 technology that has already taken a toll on all the devices from laptops to mobiles, the advent of the next version is the talk of the town. So what’s new in the 3.0 version? Will it have better speed? Will it have enhanced security options? Will it be very much customizable and user friendly? We need to wait and watch that before we can have our assumptions. This article throws some light on the emerging Bluetooth 3.0 version.

The official release of short range Bluetooth 3,.0 for wireless devices is set on April 21. The design and development team has announced that it would release this version and also the specs of the Bluetooth SIG 3.0 version.

What’s new?

The all new Bluetooth 3.0 is expected to provide better data transfer when compared to its previous version. The speed is expected to come around 480 Mbits per second which is quite a big number when compared to the present speed. This makes it easily comparable to Wi-Fi transfers which are very much similar to the proposed speed of Bluetooth 3.0 version.  In addition to this, one can easily piggy back on the 802.11 Wi-Fi protocol that could allow Bluetooth operation over Wi-Fi.

One of the most unique advantages of Bluetooth is its very low consumption. This is the reason why people have started using Bluetooth for calls and music as it gives best quality when compared to normal usage.
Information from blogs

The Bluetooth SIG proudly claims that it has the strong ability to transfer bulk amount of data in a very less time. For instance, with the help of Bluetooth 3.0 version you can very easily transfer whole music library in a very few seconds. Other instances could be a whole DVD of movies, your favorite pictures etc. such is the power of Bluetooth 3.0 if it is incorporated into any wireless device. The Bluetooth version 3.0 also has an enhanced power control which does the job of reducing the power consumed and making it optimized for efficient data transfer. ..

Anyhow, there is no information about the devices in which it can be incorporated. We need to wait till its release on April 21 after which compatibility analysis can be made,

Bluetooth 3.0 rules the smart phones

The all new Bluetooth version is expected to emerge into the operation of smart phones which should help it make video calls, conference calls and transfer bulk data. This will eventually make everything driven by the concept of Bluetooth thereby becoming the ruler in data transfer. All the mini computers and laptops will then be powered by this new Bluetooth technology that can enable people anywhere in the world to share bulk and heavy information to anyone so easily and fast. While this is the case, another competent in this field is the wireless USB device which is emerging with new technologies with faster data transfer.
