And The Winner Is… the Anara Tower!

Dubai has managed once again to draw attention upon itself with the ingenious buildings that have been constructed in such short time on its territories.
This time the Anara Tower is expected to be a building that might actually prove to be one of the wonders of the modern world. The Anara tower is 2150 ft tall and its construction will start next year. Even though it will not be the tallest in the world, this construction will be just less than 500 ft shorter than the Burj Dubai, which is located just a few miles away from Anara, and it will be truly massive and amazing.
The concept was designed by the Atkins Design Studio from Britain and the complete tower will include offices, apartments and luxury hotel rooms and all at the highest prices you can imagine. Anara will include an atrium, which will be located in the middle of the structure and every 27 floors people will be able to discover wonderful gardens. The tower will adopt a propeller shaped structure and the middle of the propeller will be home to a fine restaurant with an amazing view. You can very well imagine that despite its shape the building will not revolve.
All seems to be wonderful but taking into account the fact that the prices for oil are continuously decreasing, it will be quite an accomplishment if the construction, which is scheduled for the end of 2009, will even begin. We hope that it is not the case to have such dark thoughts and we must believe that someone out there has enough money to take this project to completion.
