Backyard Astrophotography

horsehead-and-flame.jpgBackyard astronomy photography must be one of those really hard categories of photography which could possibly be done by a person who is just starting out a career in photography. It’s also one of those categories where you need to use a lot of equipment, which can be quite expensive.

However, quite fortunately, there are some beginner photographers out there who find it worth to spend some time to equip and get themselves trained so that we have the luxury of observing some absolutely amazing work like the below-given photos. However, it isn’t, by any means, easy to carry out this type of photography. In fact, if you have a look at these types of pictures which can be found in Flickr, you’ll notice that this niche does require tons of practice and dedication – not a lot of pictures can come out as well as the ones given below.

Below given are 13 amazing examples of the beauty of astrophotography captured by some backyard astronomers – of galaxies and stars, those that we feel are some really amazing examples of what you can do if you have a camera, telescope and a bit of know – how from a backyard. Don’t hesitate to post any other examples of good astrophotography that you know of in the ‘comments’ section.
