What Happened to the Simple Cellular Phone?

Martin Cooper, who is now 80 years old, was the first person to use a mobile telephone in 1973.  He has today felt that things are getting much too complex with the cellular phones that are on the market.

Basically he has been leading a group that is interested in how things are going and in how these devices currently are expected to complete too many tasks.

The belief is that the quality of the phone is reduced in being able to offer so many different services.

He encouraged that the future be full of potential to be able to offer different devices for the different services.

There is too much of a reliance in the current society on having a phone, laptop, a netbook,  eReader, and camera.  If you were to simplify your life a bit then there would be a greater joy in doing things.

There have been so many technological advances when you look at devices like mobile phones as the first cellular phones were large and heavy and could only be used for a period of twenty minutes.

Basically when you think about cellular phones from the past there are things that should be considered when you look at things and understand how to do them.

However today there are so many different things that a phone can do and equally as many services which changes things and makes them more advanced.  The overall goal is to have a phone that will essentially do it all.

The biggest changes have been with the recent addition of the SmartPhones that are on the market and function as miniature computers.

There are those who disagree with Cooper as well and feel that to go back to a less advanced time technologically would be a set back.

Basically there are those who believe that the overall abilities of these different devices depend upon the user and the needs which he or she might have.

Basically since people want to have the least number of items necessary there are always going to be different things that are considered and to be carried around and with the advances in SmartPhones that will be possible.
