Motorola Droid Devour

Motorola has twenty new Android phones set to roll out this year, and one of them is known to be the Droid Devour (AKA Motorola Calgary). While we’ve been hearing rumors of the Calgary for a while, it’s just now been leaked that the smartphone will pack the same processor as the Palm Pixi. (Android and Me)
The Devour will have a Qualcomm MSM7627 processor, which consists of two ARM cores worked into a single chip. One core is a 600 MHz application CPU, and the other is a 400 MHz dedicated modem processor. The Devour will also have a 3.1″ capacitive touchscreen, 512 MB of flash ROM, 256 MB of RAM, a 3 MP camera, and Android 1.6.
That processor should make the Devour a fantastic, low-budget choice for someone who wants a reasonably zippy Android smartphone with a QWERTY keyboard. There’s nothing spectacular or flashy about the Devour, but it will likely sell for $99 with a contract (Pixi pricing).
