HTC Magic gets official: Android is brought to Vodafone sans keyboard

Vodafone just scooped out a chunk of the planet Earth with the first Android phone which is touch-screen only: the HTC’s Magic! Surprisingly all the specs seem to contain just about everything which was rumored such as the HDSPA, 3.2-inch HVGA screen front and center, GPS, no-flash 3.2 megapixel cam and a super G-1 style trackball. Local Vodafone markets will get to know the juicy details regarding availability and pricing; the Spaniards can expect a price ranging anywhere from 99 to 199 Euros with a huge dependency on the contract. Some of the first markets to see the phone will be UK, Germany, Spain, Italy and France with the UK expecting to see it in April. Plenty of countries will follow suit. Another feature which proves that HTC doesn’t like you is the proprietary headphone jack. Anyhow, you can take comfort in the fact that at least this beauty will ship with a touch screen keyboard. It’s just as good as a running Cupcake!
