Android Devices from T-Mobile Launching in 2009

Posted on May 23, 2009 by admin Under Phones · 1 Comment

google_g1It has been said by the chief technology officer Cole Brodman of T-Mobile USA that there are going to be the introduction of several Android based cell phones being released through three various manufacturers in the later part of the year. The ever so popular company Google’s Mountain View based technology giant location developed these Android devices as a mobile OS.

Cole Brodman stated, “We are looking to launch multiple Android-based devices in the second half of this year with three partners.” It has even been rumored that these Android devices could make their way into feature phones within the low end. Up till now there have been sales of over a million of the G-1 Google phones and it seems that they are truly becoming bandwidth hogs compared to the competition, the iPhone from Apple.

Throughout the conversation that was had with Brodman he continued to state that they are hoping to have the Android OS to be able to run with netbooks. There have been demo’s of the Android-based netbooks coming out of the larger USA computer manufacturers including Dell and Hewlett-Packard. The Android is really going to open up the grounds and have a nice duel with netbooks in the near future.
