World Trade Center Transportation Hub “upgraded”

Posted on October 14, 2008 by Under Others · 1 Comment

The Port Authority of New york and New Jersey,Santiago calatrava have “upgraded” the World Trade Center Transportation Hub.Since it’s very large it’s not easy to imagine that it’s scaled back.

The sweeping column-free span has been changed to Tapered columns wich makes all look better!Anyway the bad thing is that skylights wich were bringing natural light has been eliminated. The reasons for the scaled back plans are money and timeline. It must be finished untill 2012.

The achitecture behind this is Santiago Calatrava.
