PSP Go is Leaked from the Vaults of Sony
Sony is releasing a new part to their family, the PSP Go and of course the news leaked out sooner then they wanted. There was suppose to be an E3 2009 press event for the device, but the news got out before the event which has now caused a lot of hype behind Sony’s newest family member.
The PSP Go has been designed to be much smaller then the original PSP that we all grew to love quite quickly. It also has been designed to have a slide out feature which houses all your controls, which is quite nifty, but very similar to another product known as the Mylo. The device has taken on 16GB of internal memory plus has the ability to be Bluetooth compatible.
It hasn’t been disclosed whether or not there is going to be a memory slot, but it has been said that there is going to be one. There have been rumours of the PSP Go releasing in fall of 2009 but the price for it has yet to be determined so keep your ears open.
Now you are probably wondering what is going to happen to the infamous PSP-3000. Don’t worry Sony is going to attempt having both PSP’s on the shelves and see how things go with the option to buy either one of the devices. This may or may not work beneficially, but it’s an attempt on Sony that will either help them or hurt them. Only way to know is by trying, and clearly that’s exactly what they are going to do.
There have been quite a few specifications released about the Sony PSP Go so let’s take a look at a few of them:
- 3.8 inch display
- 43% lighter than PSP 3000
- 16GB internal memory
- Bluetooth built in
- Micro slot for memory stick
- Support of Playstation network
- Integratable with PS3
- No UMD drive
With the PSP Go being much more portable then the previous designs they are hoping that the popularity of this device skyrockets quickly to not only match the sales of other PSP models, but out beat the sales as well. This may be a bit of a struggle as the hype for this product has yet to skyrocket but it is bound to happen soon enough.
There seems to be many people saying that the Sony PSP Go isn’t one of the most visually appealing devices around, but this shouldn’t matter when it works amazingly. It has the light weight design that makes it much more portable then previous PSP models which will allow people to take their gaming world with them everywhere.
The leak of the Sony PSP Go may or may not benefit them, but either way it is bound to make its mark on the world of gaming devices. It is offering many things that we’ve seen in the past except now you don’t have to worry about being burdened by the weight of the devices. Sony is hopefully going to make its mark on the world again with the PSP Go.

I think phone is definitely no match for Nintendo DS or PSP as a gaming console.I hope it keeps working great.
