Cell_TowerThe internet users in Portland, Oregon are the first in the U.S. to benefit from the newly released on the market Comcast wireless 4G internet connection. Expect it soon in Chicago, Atlanta, and Philadelphia. The service takes the speed and the extras of the broadband internet to a new cutting-edge level. Read on to find out about the advantages of the Comcast High-Speed 2go.

If you are lucky enough to live in the area, you should definitely consider Comcast’s promotional offer that is now available. The Comcast High-Speed 2go will provide you with connection speed as high as 4 Mbps, while rival Verizon Wireless advertizes a speed ranging form only 600kbps to1.4Mpbs. You can have the Fast Pack Metro package for only $49.99 per month for the first year compared to the $59.95 asked by the competitor. The second year the service will cost you a bit more – $73 a month, but it is totally worth it.

The advantages of the start-up package are endless – as a bonus you get a home connection with12 Mbps speed plus a free Wi-Fi router – to serve all your needs. A nationwide 3G data service is available for just $20. If you are already a Comcast broadband customer you can have the new service for $30 to $50 per month depending on the range.

Comcast’s fast marketing move has taken the competitors developing the rivaling LTE (Long-Term Evolution) technology by surprise. They are set to launch their service in some different major U.S. cities later this year. The LTE is expected to be faster than the WiMax, but will also be more expensive due to its technological design. There is also a chance that the two competing internet connection providing networks will eventually be united.

Only customers will say whether Comcast or their market rivals will have a leading market position. At least for now, the Comcast High-Speed 2go is one step ahead.
