Rolls-Royce 200EX Concept Car
Rolls-Royce calls one of its latest collections as the 200EX, is in fact a concept car that reflects the design direction placing itself in the category of smaller unnamed and inexpensive sedan that is designed to sell itself as compared to the stately Phantom. But the designed version of this car which is also code named as RR4, will look more identical virtually.
The version of RR4 is all set to feature the third evolution of Rolls-Royce’s most familiar headlight graphics, which was for the first time seen in the BMW series designed Phantom, with a slight variation on the laid back grille that also debuted the Phantom convertible and coupe. The car is more rakish looking sedan other than Phantom, with a much faster backlight and C-pillar along with a convex bodyside which is measuring approximately 212.6 inches in length and 61 inches in height it still looks a better car.
Inspite of all the rumors around, the new RR4 would be having features that resemble the new BMW 7-series, the car is believed to be having a unique unibody, as stated b the Rolls-Royce, and this feature has not yet been shared by any other car in the market. The cowl height and the door apertures are very much different as compared to the new 7-series; so, if the two indeed do share anything that is common, may actually be deep seated in its structure. The body of the car shall be manufactured in Germany at the Dingolfing plant, and then the painting, trimming and final assembly shall be done in Rolls-Royce plant in Goodwood, England. With a motive of creating an extra work area BMW has added a new mezzanine floor to its plant for the trim and wood shops purposes for the new RR4 line.
BMW also stated that nearly 70 percent of the components used in the new RR4 are in fact very much unique to Rolls-Royce. The car shall be equipped with the direct injection V-12 engine which is very much unique to the Rolls-Royce and made especially for Rolls-Royce by BMW. The car is also said to be powered by the twin turbo engines which shall deliver it a 550 hp with a much efficient gas mileage. The car is also expected to get the new ZF eight speed transmission that is automatic which shall also deliver a six percent improvement in its fuel efficiency when compared to the normal six speed auto.
