2011 BMW 6 Series

There is a new version coming out for the BMW series and that is the 6^th series of the BMW. Recently a testing was done in Scandinavia on the prototype version of the 6^th series and recently there has been talk about this series coming out as the 2011 model. This series of BMW has become known as the F13 and you will soon see it hitting the billboards in 2010. The new model will take on some of the same mechanical hardware and platforms of the past five generations of the series, but it will have its own uniqueness as well.

At the event there happened to be a photographer spying things out and has stated that the canvas drop top seems to be a ruse and doesn’t seem to fit overly well. Models Z4 and 3 series have metal hardtops that fold and it seems that the 6 series convertible may be taking on the same design.

The 6^th series BMW seems to be taking on a lot of the same sheet metal features of the 2009 7 series being inspired by the luxurious 2007 Concept CS. There will be diesel versions throughout the European markets and the US markets will have twin turbo V-8 powered designs that are currently used in the 7series and also the X6 models. The ZF eight automatic speed transmission will control the wheels.

For those wanting to see the 6 series BMW make plans to go to the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show which is in September 2009. This will be its debut before the 2010 launch. Another similar model, the new M6, will be launching in the beginning of 2011 that will be similar other then the aggressive tuned version of a twin turbo V-8 instead. The 6 series BMW will truly make its mark on the world fast with its sleek design and all the hidden power behind it.
