The TL350 will be among the first compact digital cameras to shoot full 1080p high-definition video, in addition to 10-megapixel stills.samsung_tl350_01

With high-end DSLRs all over the market shooting 1080p video in addition to pro-quality stills, it was only a matter of time until that golden high-def standard fell to a compact cam. Samsung’s new TL350 is among the first to hit the mark, capturing full 1080p footage at 30 frames per second, in a form factor no larger than the average compact cam.

The TL350 uses a 10.2-megapixel, backside-illuminated CMOS sensor to make it happen. Besides its high-res video capabilities, Samsung has also taken a swipe at Casio’s latest high-speed Exilims by endowing the TL350 with the ability to shoot movies at an insane 1,000 frames per second. (Like the Casio cams, you’ll need to reduce resolution to postage-stamp size to get there, though).

Other impressive specs include a 3-inch OLED display, 24mm wide-angle lens, 5x optical zoom, full manual controls, and RAW support. Samsung also claims it can shoot 10-megapixel stills continuously at 10 frames per second – shooting speed that rivals many DSLRs.

The TL350 is slated to hit stores sometime this spring with a $350 price tag. Contact with us for more details via: http://www.digitaltrends.com/photography/cameras/samsung-squeezes-1080p-video-into-tl350-compact-digicam/
